Spacejunk artist
 Scott Bourne 21/03/1973 USA Pro Skateboarder, Scott H. Bourne is admired across the industry for his uncompromising work ethic and his caustic integrity. He currently resides in Paris, where he is simultaneously edi¬ting his first novel and working on his second. His writing has been featured in magazines both inside and outside of skateboarding and penned his own column for Slap for a number of years. He is currently making the rounds across Europe to promote a text and video project executed in Mongolia in 2004 as well as collection of poetry entitled Cheating on the Metronome. When he is not at his desk typing on his Ole’ Corona, he will most likely be found wandering the City of Light in search of the words that cause a man to write; As the French would say «s’il n’existait pas, il aurait fallu l’inventer».

I was there for about 5 minutes when Juergen Teller came up and said hi to me. We had worked together on a project for PUMA just a few months earlier; we spoke for a moment then parted. In the morning I took two different shots at 6 AM just before getting in a cab and boarding a plane. This is one of them and one of my all time favorite shots, a good omen from Juergen.

This is 18 blvd du Temple, from the inside looking out to the street. I shot this while leaving a friend's flat. In March of 2009 an estimated 2 million people made their way down this street from Republique to Bastille in protest of the French president Nicolas Sarkozy. I was trying to capture the light when I heard footsteps and just as the man opened the door, I fired. Looking at this shot you can see that he has a coat draped over his shoulder bag and has instantly put his hand to his head....just before him, the streets are filled with protesters. The following morning, I flew to the Dominican Republic, it was there that I read about it in the newspapers.
