Spacejunk artist
 Caia Koopman 19/03/1968 USA All of Caia’s pieces depict beautiful and delicate characters, very often feminine and with birds or other animals… Yet, they are not about the « joie de vivre » as the themes explored are usually serious and profound.
Grounded firmly in the subjective, the details (both traditional and multicultural) are legion.
Pretty normal, one would say, since this Californian artist knows well the different cultures of her region – and she is just as interested in the Board Culture as she is in politics – in which she gets inspired for her work that is as fastidious as intense.
Probably the most important and the most authentic woman artist of the Board Culture, Caia honours us here by sharing her works.
Caia Koopman is the most recognized and renown American artist in the field of Board Culture today. Tied closely to the “Pop Surrealist” movement and her peers Mark Ryden, Joe Sorren and the Clayton Brothers, she offers us a dream-like voyage in every one of her works. Her feminine characters and large eyes – better to see our world as it is – are reworked in a distinct manner to liturgical painting as each composition speaks of a subject matter too real for us to remain indifferent about. Everyone can freely plunge deeper into the real meaning of this message, but it’s impossible not to succumb to the pure beauty of Caia’s paintings…

For all of those who didn’t have the chance to be in Berlin - Germany for the new Oakley Art Collaboration work with artist C100 last July 2nd, Spacejunk got a little report for YOU!
As Spacejunk artist Caia Koopman done an art collabs with Oakley in May 09, Spacejunk was aask to bring 4 original artworks from the really talented US artists!
